Ganga lake

Ganga is a small salt lake in the Dariganga sum, Sukhbaatar province.

The lake is situated in a unique transition zone of southeastern steppes and Gobi desert, forming a unique scenery of sand dunes, steppes and lakes. 

Length: 2.1 km

Width:  1.6 km 

Area:    2.2 sq.km

Altitude: 1,294 m 

The lake is an essential breeding area for endangered migratory birds, including the great crested grebe, the whooper swan, and the ruddy shelduck.
