Ikh Gazariin Chuluu is a vast granite rock formation stretching 20 km across Gurvansaikhan sum, Dundgobi province. Rising to a peak of 1,706 meters above sea level, its surreal formations appear as though giant hands stacked rocks across the steppe. Ikh Gazariin Chuluu is not only a dramatic granite rock formation in Dundgobi province but also a cultural hub, hosting the annual “Sun Over the Placid World” festival where thousands of traditional long‑song singers and horse‑head fiddle players perform on an open‑air stage. This makes it a destination that blends natural beauty, folklore, and living traditions.
