Overview

Kharkhiraa Valley, located near Ulaangom city in Uvs province, is one of Mongolia’s most untouched and picturesque destinations. The valley is framed by the Kharkhiraa (4,037 m) and Turgen (3,965 m) mountains, with glaciers, rivers, and pine forests creating a dramatic alpine landscape. It is part of the Kharkhiraa–Turgen Nature Reserve, a protected area known for its biodiversity and cultural heritage.
