Overview
Khermen Tsav is a breathtaking red sandstone canyon located in Gurvantes sum, Umnugobi province. Often nicknamed the “Mini Grand Canyon”, it stretches about 10 km wide and plunges 100–200 meters deep, with striking ridges and formations carved by wind and erosion. Situated roughly 450 km from Dalanzadgad, the provincial capital, Khermen Tsav is one of the most remote yet spectacular destinations in the Gobi Desert.
