Orog Lake – Destination Guide

Overview

Orog Lake lies just north of Ikh Bogd Mountain, the highest peak of the Gobi‑Altai range. Located about 100 km south of Bayankhongor city, the lake is a vital wetland in central Mongolia. Though it has faced periods of drying in the past, recent conservation efforts have restored its ecological importance, making it a serene destination for camping and exploration.
