Tsambagarav Mountain

Marking the border of Bayan-Ulgii and Khovd provinces, the eternal snow-topped  Tsambagarav mountain reaches 4195m above sea level. It has been worshiped by the locals for many centuries. The highest peak is called Tsast Uul, and is relatively easy slope to climb compared to ones in Tavan bogd. The mountain is suitable for trekking and climbing activities.

Tsambagarav is accessible from either Bayan Ulgii or Khovd provinces.

The surrounding area is full of natural beauties- glacier, lakes, waterfall and rocky mountains.
The best time to visit the area is late June to late August, when it’s warm and  populated by Kazakh nomad camps.
